1. Special High School service will operate
on the basis of the special bus pass or special
(yellow) bus tickets only. No cash fares or
tickets other that the yellow tickets will be
accepted.
2.
The special bus passes and special tickets can
be used on the regular transit system.
3.
You must subscribe for the school year. Subscribers
will receive ALL of the monthly passes they
need when they subscribe. If using tickets,
you must complete an application form available
only at the Transit Operations Centre, 333 Winnipeg
Street.
4.
If subscribers want a refund at any time during
the year they must advise Regina Transit and
return ALL of their unused passes. Refunds for
the current month are pro-rated, depending on
when during the month the request for a refund
is received. Unused tickets can be used on the
regular transit system or be returned to the
Transit Operations Centre for a refund. According
to the City of Regina’s Refund Policy,
an administration fee of $5.00 or 10% of the
total amount owing (whichever is greater) will
be charged.
5.
If the numbers of subscribers warrants it, another
bus will be added to the route. Please note
that standees are permitted on Regina Transit
buses. Purchase of the special passes does not
guarantee your child a seat on the bus.
6.
The Special High School buses will follow existing
transit routes, where possible, and students
can wait at the existing bus stops. In areas
where there is no regular transit service, students
can flag the bus to stop for them.
NOTE:
The buses from the neighbourhoods north of Arcola
Avenue (Bus No.1) will travel on College Avenue.
Buses from the neighbourhoods south of Arcola
Avenue (Bus No. 2) will use Broadway Avenue.
7.
Students from Glencairn and Parkridge must take
the regular transit service to the Victoria
Square Mall and transfer to the Special High
School bus at the Mall, as they have done in
previous years.
8.
The Special High School buses will have "Special"
on the destination sign.
